Blackwing pencils are longer than regular ones and our cases fit them nicely.  We specifically designed these cases  to carry Blackwing pencils, our handmade leather pencil case's are made with top quality leather in house.

Choose Your Leather

This piece is available in two premium leathers, each with its own character.

English Bridle Leather
A vegetable-tanned hide hand-stuffed with waxes and tallow, originally developed for saddlery and horse tack. It is firm, dense, and exceptionally strong, with a smooth, refined finish and natural resistance to moisture. Bridle leather often arrives with a light, whitish “bloom,” which is wax rising from within the hide. This is a hallmark of quality, not a flaw, and it buffs away easily to reveal a deep, satin sheen. It starts out structured, then gradually softens and molds to its owner while holding its shape for years. Over time, the color deepens into a rich, polished patina.

Oil Tan Leather
A full-grain hide infused with oils and waxes during tanning. It is supple from day one, naturally water-resistant, and built for years of hard use. Oil tan has a distinctive “pull-up” character: when it is bent, stretched, or scuffed, the oils shift and the color lightens in those areas, giving each piece depth and a rugged, lived-in look. Minor scratches can often be buffed out with your thumb as the oils redistribute. Over time, it darkens and develops a rich patina.

Which is right for you? Choose oil tan for a soft, rugged, broken-in feel that shows its history. Choose English bridle for a firmer, more polished look that keeps its structure.

Whichever you choose, no two pieces age the same way.

Care: Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Condition oil tan occasionally, particularly after heavy rain or prolonged dry heat. Bridle leather is already rich in waxes, so condition it sparingly and buff with a soft cloth to remove bloom and restore shine. If either leather gets wet, let it air-dry naturally and away from direct heat.
