Oil Tan Leather
These valet trays are crafted from full-grain oil tan leather, a hide that is infused with oils and waxes during the tanning process. The result is a leather that is supple from the first day, naturally resistant to water, and built to withstand years of hard use.
Oil tan leather has a distinctive “pull-up” character: when the leather is bent, stretched, or scuffed, the oils shift and the color lightens in those areas, giving each piece depth and a rugged, lived-in look. Minor scratches can often be buffed out with a thumb, as the oils redistribute and blend the mark back into the surface.
With time and wear, the leather darkens and develops a rich patina that reflects how it has been carried and used. No two pieces age the same way.
Care: Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Apply a leather conditioner occasionally to keep the leather nourished, particularly after exposure to heavy rain or dry heat.
